The company I work for is sending 5 people to Pubcon (recession?  What recession?)

I'm afraid it may suffer in comparison to the more glamorous SXSW starting immediately afterwards.  SXSW is full of hipsters and they show cutting edge web and new media applications and are more disdainful of commerce.  Pubcon will be more workmanlike and commercial and take place in declasse North Austin, rather than the downtown convention center.  Which means Pubcon is for serious people while SXSW is for rich people who want to party, right?

You'd be surprised. Actually there are annoying reasons why PubCon isn't downtown *cough SXSW Organizers cough*. It is going to be a great time and much partying!!! But yes, great content too. Will you be there? Haha, great seeing you at HEB tonight. LMAO!
